Jeremy Mines is a D.C. based Multimedia Producer with a diverse career in filmmaking and photography. Founder of Jeremy Mines Films LLC since January 2010, Jeremy brands himself as a Producer, Director, Cinematographer and Video Editor. Jeremy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Film and Video Production from The Art Institute of Washington (Ai), where he decided to pursue his passion for storytelling through filmmaking and photography. Since then he has worked extensively on feature length movies, music videos, documentaries, and commercials.
Possessing an insatiable love for travel, Jeremy has worked on films internationally, and seeks projects that document experiences and perspectives around the world. His first feature length film was working as Executive Producer on the documentary “Meninadança,” a film following the lives of a resilient group of young people, who with the help of dance therapy move from lives of sexual exploitation, addiction, and poverty to empowerment and independence in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Jeremy was also recently in Southeast Asia working on a video documentary series exploring the influential V64 Art Studio—the largest independent art studio in Southeast Asia— and its impact on the youth in Bangkok, Thailand. The film is part of a larger project using media to foster dialogues between artists residing in Southeast Asia and the United States.
